Hailing from the Rain and windswept

NORTH COAST OF IRELAND, David Tennant is a man of storytelling experience in both the film and commercial media worlds. His career began in the UK, where he worked as a creative for some of London's most prestigious television advertising companies. Immigrating to British Columbia David focused on his filmmaking skills: writing, art directing, editing and working as a conceptual thinker for numerous advertising and film production companies. After studying at the Vancouver Film School and long nights editing music videos, it wasn't long before he found himself behind the lens as a sought-after Director/Cameraman.

Better known for a much darker, embedded cinematic realism and his natural ability to create visceral action scenes, David recently returned to his love of the human spirit, directing a much gentler narrative for his debut independent short film Amicae Aeternum and is currently developing a network drama series inspired by the short story of the same name, by American author Ellen Klages.

David Tennant works primarily as a commercial filmmaker in Canada and has collaborated and directed various television dramas and documentaries. Clients include, Sony Home Entertainment, SyFy Channel, Discovery and A&E.

David Tennant is Co-Founder of the TV/Film concept company, Gas Bottle Jack.
